E-Z-Go Golf Carts

E-Z-Go Golf Carts is a standard name in the golf cart industry. But what isn’t as well known is the number of dashes in E-Z-Go’s name.

The three common assumptions include:

  • EZGo
  • EZ-Go
  • E-Z-Go

The third choice of course being correct.

Confusion aside, E-Z-Go’s parent company is Textron, a multi-billion dollar, multi-industry global company that includes everything from helicopters to lawn care products.

This kind of backing helps with research and development, and they’ve definitely got some quality golf carts to show for it.

E-Z-Go golf carts were first created in 1954 by two brothers. They were living in Augusta, Georgia at the time, which is where the company is still head quartered today.

The brothers have certainly taken their one room shop to extra-ordinary heights. Their website states that they are currently being created in a 650,000 square foot world headquarters. If this isn’t the fulfillment of the American dream, I don’t know what is.

They have gone from one model to over forty models to choose from.

E-Z-Go Golf Carts Models

The RXV platform is a traditional looking golf cart model that comes in both gas and electric models.

You’ll notice that the Freedom TXT model looks fairly similar and also comes in an electric and gas model. It was created for the golf course and the gated community.

The Shuttle 2×2 RXV and TXT models have a rear facing bench that seats two additional passengers.

Terrain vehicles 250, 500, 1000, and 1500 are heavy duty trail vehicles with durable tires and large cargo areas at the rear.

The Express vehicles seat four to six people and also feature heavy duty tires for trail riding. The difference is that they allow for more passengers rather than more cargo.

E-Z-Go’s street legal golf carts have full windshields and street legal specs so that you can zip around town in them without getting in legal trouble.

The Legacy models come in a wide variety of forms, so you’ll have to check out these models for yourself.

To take it a step further, you can get a customized, factory-built golf cart direct from the E-Z-Go manufacturer, specific to your liking. All you’ve got to do is contact your local dealer and you can get a quote within 48 hours.

Quick and customizable, perfect for those who know what they want from a golf cart.
